Subcision Treatment in Pune

What is Subcision Treatment
Subcision is a minimally invasive dermatological procedure used to treat depressed scars, such as acne scars, surgical scars, and wrinkles—especially those that appear tethered or indented. It works by releasing the fibrous bands of tissue beneath the skin that pull the surface downward, creating a smoother, more even skin appearance.
During the procedure, a fine needle or special surgical blade (called a Nokor needle) is inserted under the skin to break up the bands of scar tissue. This not only releases the tension causing the depression but also triggers natural collagen production, further improving skin texture over time.

FAQ's
Subcision is a minor surgical procedure used to treat depressed or indented scars, especially rolling acne scars. It involves inserting a fine needle under the skin to break up the fibrous bands that pull the skin downward, helping the skin rise and become smoother over time.
Subcision is most effective for:
Rolling acne scars
Tethered surgical or traumatic scars
Wrinkles or skin depressions caused by volume loss or aging
It is not ideal for raised (hypertrophic or keloid) scars.
A special needle is inserted under the scar to cut the fibrous bands that anchor the skin to deeper tissue. This releases the tension and allows the skin to lift. The trauma also stimulates collagen production, helping to fill the area naturally over time.
Subcision is performed under local anesthesia, so you may feel a slight pressure or tugging during the procedure, but it is generally well-tolerated and not painful.
A typical subcision session lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number and size of scars being treated.
You may experience bruising, swelling, or mild tenderness for a few days. Most people return to normal activities within 1–2 days. Full healing may take a couple of weeks, and visible improvements become more noticeable as collagen builds.
